I Will
Go Far: Refusing to Live an Average Life“Pharaoh
said, ‘I will let you go… only you shall not go very far away.’”
— Exodus 8:28 (AMP)
God’s
desire for your life is crystal clear: to prosper you, to bless you,
and to see you succeed in all you do. His plan is that you would live
fully, walk boldly in your purpose, and impact the world around you.
But the
enemy has his own plan.
It’s not always to completely stop you sometimes, it’s simply to make
sure you don’t go far.
Pharaoh
told Moses, “I’ll let you go, but don’t go far.” That’s the same trap we face
today. The enemy is content with you going to church as long as you don’t
become radical in your faith. He’s fine with you having dreams, as long as you
never actually chase them. He’s okay with you living… as long as you settle
for average.
But I’ve
decided: I will go far. I will not be average.
Identifying
the Pharaohs of Our Generation
Pharaohs
aren’t always kings in palaces. Today, they come disguised in mindsets, habits,
systems, and distractions designed to keep you small. If you want to go far,
you have to learn to spot them and deal with them.
1.
Prayerlessness
Prayer is
your fuel. Without it, you run on empty.
“Pray without ceasing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
The moment prayer leaves your life, power leaves with it. Prayer is what keeps
you moving when life throws roadblocks your way. Without it, the enemy doesn’t
even have to try hard you’ve already stopped yourself.
2. Flesh
and Worldly Distractions
We are not
facing the same world as generations before us.
Fear. Anxiety. Endless online trends. Constant comparison.
These are the “Egypt” of our time loud enough to distract you, subtle
enough to make you think they’re harmless. But if you don’t fight to stay
focused, they will quietly rob you of your future.
3.
Sickness and Attacks on Health
In Mark 9,
a boy suffered seizures intended to destroy his life. The Bible records that
sometimes he was even thrown into fire. The goal? End his destiny before it
could begin.
That’s why we pray for our health, our children, and our loved ones so they
will outlive us and outshine us.
4. Bad
Company
Samson was
anointed. His birth was prophesied. His parents were priests. But all it took
was the wrong relationship to pull him off track. (Judges 16)
One wrong influence can reduce a deliverer to a grinder of grain. That’s what
average looks like living beneath your calling because of who you chose to keep
close.
God’s
Agenda Hasn’t Changed
From the
beginning, God’s command was:
“Be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it.” (Genesis
1:28)
“…Israel shall blossom and put forth shoots and fill the whole world with
fruit.” (Isaiah 27:6)
His plan is
still expansion, influence, and dominion. He hasn’t changed His mind about you.
The only question is will you go far, or will you settle for less?
Today,
identify your Pharaohs. Name them. Write them down. And then, with God’s help,
break their power over your life.
Refuse
average. Refuse smallness. Refuse the compromise that says, “You can go but not
far.”
Instead,
declare over your life:
I will go far. I will not be average. I will fulfill my God-given destiny.

ReplyDeleteYes! So true modern “Pharaohs” show up as pressures, distractions, and systems that try to keep us bound, not always in palaces.
