God Wants to Do More with You

I started singing in my dad’s church at the age of six. We had college students come to volunteer in his church, and when they held programs in our small town, they would invite me to minister and my immediate elder brother will play the piano. I still remember our first ministration people were blessed, and the organizers gave us biscuits (cookies). Oh my God, I thought that was the best day of my life. But God had more.

Since then, I’ve ministered at larger platforms like the Winners Chapel Youth Convention. And still, God keeps doing more. As Scripture says: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived the things God has prepared for those who love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9).

God wants to do more with you. He wants to use your life to trigger revival, to bring the dead back to life spiritually, emotionally, even physically. The earnest expectation of creation is waiting for the manifestation of the sons and daughters of God (Romans 8:19).

There’s More God Wants to Do Through You

In Acts 9, Peter had already healed a paralyzed man named Aeneas in Lydda. When people saw that miracle, the entire town turned to the Lord (Acts 9:35). That’s the kind of move we need in our generation one that causes entire cities to turn to God.

But God wasn’t done. He led Peter to Joppa, where a woman named Tabitha (Dorcas) had died. The people around her believed in her so much that they sent for Peter. And when he came, there was a shift.

God wants to use you in rooms that need resurrection in broken homes, confused churches, discouraged ministries. But to see revival, we must bring Jesus back into the room. Go back to your first love. Let the breath of God breathe over dead things again.

God Wants to Put You in a Room

Acts 9:39–40 tells us that when Peter arrived, he was brought into the upper room. That room was filled with weeping widows showing the garments Tabitha made for them. What a testimony. Your life should speak for you, even when you’re not in the room. Your works should advocate on your behalf. Tabitha built that kind of legacy.

But Peter knew something had to change. Like Jesus did in Mark 5:40–41, Peter put the mourners and doubters out of the room. Sometimes, for miracles to happen, doubt must leave and faith must be invited in. Who is in your room? Are they faith-activators or faith-killers?

Even Jesus, in Mark 4:35–41, calmed the storm because He was in the room in the boat although he was asleep, the disciples work him up and Jesus  rebuked the wind. The caliber of who’s with you matters.

God Is Setting You Up for the Upper Room

The upper room isn’t just a physical place. It’s a spiritual posture a place where you meet with God, weep if you must, pray with desperation, and get clarity. Moses’ mother hid him in a room for three months to preserve his destiny. But when moses was placed on water, he knew it was time to cry for help, because his destiny helper is close by. You cannot cry any how. You need to know when and where to cry.  You need a room where you and God can have uninterrupted fellowship.

Your Posture Matters: Before You Face the Situation, Face God

Peter didn’t immediately speak to Tabitha’s dead body. He knelt and prayed. Before you face that difficult situation your ministry, your calling, your storm face God first.

Jesus did this before calling Lazarus out (John 11:41–43). Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and reminded God of his faithfulness (Isaiah 38:2–3). These were postures of desperation and power.

Before you speak to the body (the situation), speak to God. Maybe your posture is worship. Maybe it’s fasting. Maybe it’s forgiveness, obedience, or soul-winning. Whatever it is, get in alignment.

When Peter finally turned to the body, he spoke: “Tabitha, arise.” Immediately, she opened her eyes.

When you’ve prayed in secret, your situation won’t just see you it will see you and Jesus. The power you generate in private will manifest in public.

What Happens When You’re in the Right Room

In Acts 12:10, when Peter was released from prison, the Bible says the iron gates opened by their own accord. Why? Because he wasn’t walking alone. He carried God’s presence.

God wants to put you in a room a workplace, a ministry, a global platform where what you carry will cause gates to open. But your preparation in private will determine your manifestation in public.

What Needs to Come Back to Life?

As you reflect on this message, ask yourself: - What is God asking me to resurrect?  What fear or doubt needs to leave my room? - What posture do I need to take to see the next level?

God is not finished with you. Whether you’re a young minister, a worship leader, a teen pastor, or just starting out God wants to do more with you.

May your name speak louder than your voice. May your private prayers bring public power. May the rooms God leads you into experience resurrection.

What are you going to do in the room He puts you in?

Let this be your prayer: Lord, prepare me for the room. Show me the posture. Help me to remove doubts and invite faith. Let my work speak. Let your breath revive what is dead. I am ready. Use me for more in Jesus name.

Build A Name For Yourself

What are you building?

A name?
An example?
Or just a lesson?

Tabitha (also known as Dorcas) didn’t wait until she had a platform, a microphone, or a million followers. She wasn’t trending but she was trustworthy. And that made all the difference.

She was known for one thing: her good work.The Bible says in Acts 9:36, “She was always doing good and helping the poor.”She sewed clothes. She helped the widows. She served her community quietly but powerfully. And when she died, the people she had helped weren’t ready to let her go. They cried, they testified, and they sent for Peter. Because if someone was going to die that day, not Tabitha!

Why? Because she built a name. A reputation of love. A legacy of impact.

Proverbs 22:1 tells us:

“A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.”

When you hear the name Tabitha, you don’t think drama. You don’t think division. You think legacy, giving, service, God’s love in action.

Ask yourself:

What will people think when they hear your name?

Will they think kindness? Service? Loyalty? Strength? Faith?

You Don’t Need a Stage to Shine

Tabitha didn’t preach.

She didn’t travel with the apostles.

But she had a gift and she used it faithfully.

Young lady, are you helping in media? On the ushering team? In teens’ church, traffic, hospitality, or tech? You may think no one sees you, but God sees you.

Because of you, someone feels welcome.

Because of you, the church runs smoothly.

Because of you, a teenager wants to serve God.

Because of you, the pastor can focus on the Word.

That’s legacy in the making.

Make Your Life Count Now

You don’t have to wait until you’re older or richer or “more spiritual.” Start now. Build relationships. Serve where you are. Be known for what matters.

Because one day, when you can’t speak for yourself, your works will. And just like Tabitha, your life will stand as a testimony. You’ll become an example, a blueprint for other young women to follow. Your name will open doors not just for you, but for your children, and their children.

Build a name that speaks long after you’re gone?

    Prayer

Lord, help me to build my life according to Your pattern.

Help me to be a great example.

Help me to build meaningful relationships.

Use my gifts to glorify You and bless others.

Let my name be tied to goodness, faith, and fruitfulness. Amen.

Signal Lost: You Better Pull Over !

                                                   “Signal Lost: You Better Pull Over!”

“Looking for your fastest route… At 200 feet, turn right and head west on I-29,” said the Google Maps navigation.

I was returning from a trip to get school supplies for my children. I felt a little nervous about driving that rainy morning because I wasn’t familiar with the route. But with Google Maps on my phone, I was pretty sure I’d be fine.

Everything was going smoothly until I made a right turn and immediately heard the words: “Signal lost.” At the same time, I also lost my cool. My phone battery was on 1%. I kept driving for the next ten minutes, eyes on the screen, hoping the blue line would guide me somehow. But the voice was gone. No directions. Just movement.

I thought about pulling over, but the traffic that morning was unusually heavy. The silence in the car felt louder than the rain. I started sweating. I knew deep down I was lost. Far from home. After about 20 minutes of driving with no voice and no idea where I was, I finally pulled over. I paused. And I prayed.

That’s when the Lord gently spoke to my heart:
“This is how some of my children are navigating life on 1% spiritual battery, no clear voice, no direction.”

Motion Without Meaning

It hit me hard. Some of us are going through life like I was on that road. Moving, but not being led. Still showing up to work, to church, to routines, but on spiritual autopilot. Trying to follow God without charging our hearts in His presence. We assume we’re fine because we’re still “moving.” But what happens when life demands a decision and your signal is weak? When there’s no Word coming in? When the Spirit’s voice seems silent? When fear and uncertainty take over?  That day reminded me that the Holy Spirit is our divine navigator.

He Knows the Way

Just like Google Maps, He knows the fastest route, the safest path, when to turn, when to wait, and how to reroute us when we miss it. But unlike Google Maps, the Holy Spirit never loses signal.

We’re the ones who drift. We ignore the check-ins. We silence His nudges. We let our batteries drain without plugging into worship, prayer, or the Word. And then, when life throws detours or darkness our way, we panic.

Jesus said: “But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all truth…”
John 16:13 (NIV)

And Isaiah reminds us: “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’”
Isaiah 30:21 (NIV)

Are You Being Led? Or Just Moving?

It’s not enough to keep going. The question is are you going the right way?
Are you plugged in to the One who sees the end from the beginning? Or are you hoping the “blue line” of life will magically get you there?

Today, I encourage you to pause. Pull over. Pray. Invite the Holy Spirit back into your daily walk. Don’t just move, be led. Plug in through the Word. Worship without multitasking. Make space for silence so you can hear the still small voice again.

Let Him recalculate your steps, restore your peace, and reroute you if needed. He’s not just trying to get you home safely He’s trying to shape who you become on the journey.

One Question to Ponder:

👉 Are you navigating life with the guidance of the Holy Spirit or are you just hoping the blue line will get you there?

Women Who Follow Jesus

Vision

To raise a community of Spirit-filled women who faithfully follow Jesus, strengthen His body, and influence homes, communities, and generations with prayer, wisdom, courage, and unwavering faith.

Mission

Women Who Follow Jesus (WWFJ) exists to create a space where women can pray together, inspire one another, stand in the gap for the body of Christ, challenge each other to grow, celebrate victories, and remain focused on Jesus.

Inspired by Luke 8:1–3, where women like Mary Magdalene and others faithfully supported Jesus throughout His ministry, our mission is to follow the body of Christ with devotion, caring for it, praying for it, and remaining present through every season.

Just as the women who followed Jesus were the first to discover the resurrection message, we believe that when women remain close to the body of Christ, God reveals His heart and direction for the season.

WWFJ is a gathering space for sisters who desire to grow spiritually, encourage one another, and remain committed to Jesus.

Through prayer, conversation, and shared insight, along with our blog and Instagram presence, we seek to point women back to Christ and strengthen their walk with Him.

This is a safe and supportive space where women can share, learn, celebrate achievements, and strengthen one another.

6. Freedom and Grace

Participation is voluntary. If this space no longer aligns with your purpose, you are free to step away with grace. Likewise, if God places something on your heart that may bless the community, you are welcome to share. 

Who We Are

We are women like those found throughout Scripture:
bold like Mary Magdalene,
wise like Abigail,
strategic like Deborah,
courageous like Esther,
faithful like Lydia,
and redeemed like Rahab.

We are not perfect, but we are redeemed, equipped, and called for such a time as this.

Together, we follow Jesus.
